With the latest version of Narc (version 13.0) a regstration fee
is required to get the necessary NARCCFG for Color/Mouse Sensitivity/
Printer/Sound changes. Scanning through the old version 12.0 and
comparing it with the new version the addresses for the changes
are the same for both, though you cannot use NARCCFG (12.0) for
NARC 13.0.  Using Norton Utilities or any other HEX Editor these
changes can be done easily using listed addresses below. Be sure to
keep a original copy of NARC13 for possible errors. There is no
guarantee for the proper addresses or other information !
PS:
The reason I went to the trouble of finding out those settings
is simple. I don't believe in Public Domain Software you have
to pay for - no royalty or any other fee. Should someone (you)
ever write a program I advise you, if you should decide to make
it PD, to include all necessary information ( project plan,
approach, problems and (!) source code) to your application.
Only in this way we can assure a continuous support of further
PD S/W and encourage other people too. It also helps us to find
new solutions and ways to solve problems and difficult development
phases.
