This file explains how to unprotect the Print Shop software package. The unprotecting process was developed after hours and hours of hard work by Marc Alexander. First copy DEBUG onto your Print Shop disk. Then enter the following commands... A>DEBUG PSINIT.OVR -E 26B EB -E 24D 90 90 -W -Q The first line loads PSINIT.OVR (the file causing the trouble) into memory. At the - prompt, the next line changes a conditional jump to a unconditional jump. The next line changes another conditional jump into a NO OPERATION statement. The next line writes the changes to the disk. And finally, the last line quits DEBUG. Finally, there is still one bad sector on the disk in a dummy hidden file. Use the COPY *.* A: B: command to copy each file to a clean disk. Using DISKCOPY will not work because it will attempt to copy the bad sector. After doing all this, you will have an unprotected version of THE PRINT SHOP with no bad sectors. Of course this is for a personal back up and for transferring the program to hard disk. This method is not intended for the illegal copying of copy righted information.
