New Webmaster Coming

08/07/2002
I can't say that I've had the time to keep this site as up-to-date as I would of liked. To handle most of the web-based activities, I have appointed a webmaster... Blackwolf who should be with us when the new website design goes online (or before that as the case seems to be).

New Website Design in Progress

05/07/2002
A new website design is currently underway. This one looks too plain in my opinion. Hopefully this will be finished before the end of the month.

Apocalypse Code Transfer from 'Hexen C' to 'C'

09/06/2002
A decision has been made to move the Apocalypse Bot into the Hexen engine code. There has already been much consideration about making this move, though now that the waypoint code can't seem to pass the testing phase and that Hexen C is hindering progress, the plan will go forward.

An investigation will be carried out to determine what needs to be done. It will be a while before a new release is made as a consequence to these decisions, but it should be for the best.

Release 0.3.0 plans

22/05/2002
The release of version 0.3.0 of the Apocalypse Bots has been put back to the end of June. Unfortunately for the project, I've been distracted by other matters, but now I'm focused on getting this complete.

For release 0.3.0, the bots will support dynamic waypoint generation, and linking. The ravdm deathmatch levels that are intrinsic to Hexen II will have their waypoints hardcoded. As for other maps, you will be able to setup and link the waypoints using your favourite map editor (assuming it supports custom entities).

As for item usage, I intend to get as many items supported as possible. At the moment I anticipate that approximately half the items should be supported in the next release.

Site Update

09/05/2002
It's finally here! The long over-due Apocalypse Bot 0.2.0 can now be downloaded from this website - go to the releases section now to get it. Also some Problem Report section has been updated with the feedback I received sometime ago from Rouge.

Site Update

26/04/2002
The site benefits from a few tweaks, but unfortunately still has no direct link to the project releases yet... Curses! There is a plan to get it sorted, but there's seems to be a communication break-down (most probably caused by my email server - double curses!).

Apocalypse Bot Website Moves To Raven-Games

15/04/2002
The Apocalypse Bot website will now be hosted by Raven-Games. A most fitting place indeed for one of the (two) only bots written for Hexen II! (or, at least there seems to be only two bots...). In case anyone was wondering, the names 'Greywolf' (on this website) and 'Doomwolf' (other places like Raven-Games forum) usually refer me (M. Hutchings)!.

Apocalypse Bot Project Revealed

08/04/2002
The first public-testable version of the Apocalypse BOT has been released. As this is only alpha version 2, don't expect a complete package. There are three main areas that still have to be developed, but what is currently there is a fully usable BOT. The project website is now completed, ready to supplement the first release from the project. Any useful suggestions, feedback or improvements would be greatly appreciated.
