Installing the FreeBSD Ports Collection
If you are installing FreeBSD from CD-ROM or an ftp site, the sysinstall application will allow you to install the Ports Collection directly.
However, if you are not installing using that method, you may download the gzipped tarball for the entire ports hierarchy. The size of the file is about 49 megabytes.
