Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2009 09:31:51 +0200 Problem still present with acroread9-9.2 on i386/8.0-RC1 with linux_base-f10. -- Thomas Mueller From: wietse@porcupine.org (Wietse Venema) To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Cc: eculp@encontacto.net Subject: Re: ports/135486: print/acroread9 crashes after maybe 10 seconds of operation. Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2009 20:56:36 -0400 (EDT) With FreeBSD 8.0-RC1, the difference between "works" or "broken" depends on the Linux emulation level. Acroread crashes as described in this PR with linux_base-f8 (emulating kernel-2.6.16) but WORKS with linux_base-fc4 (emulating kernel-2.4.2). The main difference is that with linux_base-f8, acroread9 attempts to execute the unimplemented inotify_init system call. Date: Tue, 6 Jul 2010 16:15:25 -0400 Any update on this bug? I have various PDFs at work that are only viewable in Acrobat Reader, but it's unusable here unless I downgrade to linux_base-fc4, which is not a viable option.
