It's not a bug it's a feature! You need to know the name of your account (ie your login) and your password. The password is never echoed when you type it, this is normal. I suggest you to ask for your password and your login to your seller, if you have physical access to the computer you can reset the root account by booting in single-user mode: http://lantech.geekvenue.net/chucktips/jason/chuck/1002317496/index_html Check the documentation : http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/users.html Please use problem report only for problems, you will find assistance on the freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list or on the FreeBSD forums http://forums.freebsd.org Regards.
