What are the dates of the *source* code? And, very important, do you have world synchronized with kernel? In this particular case, newer kernels *cannot* be booted by older loader. So, if you compiled just the kernel, I suggest making world and trying again. -- Daniel C. I can boot from wd0s2a using *OLD* wdc0 code, but can't boot using ATA code Maybe there's something wrong with new ATA code ?
