Kismet seems to work if channel hopping is turned off. Kismet also works if the channel list consists of only one channel. Computers: Dell Latitude LS, Toshiba 2595XDVD Ubuntu 5.10 with patches does channel hop with the Toshiba as well as an HP 5420. The usual wifi networking functions seem to work normally with this card. Normal networking functionality resumes after Kismet exits without the need for operator attention. >How-To-Repeat: Install Kismet and run it with (default) channel hopping. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: linimon State-Changed-When: Sat May 26 06:34:48 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: Please supply us with the boot message and the output of pciconf -lv. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=109470 From: Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX N2469R To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, caf@omen.com Cc: Subject: Re: i386/109470: Orinoco Classic Gold PC Card Can't Channel Hop Date: Wed, 13 Jun 2007 15:36:38 -0700 agp0@pci0:0:0: class=0x060000 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71908086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82443BX/ZX 440BX/ZX CPU to PCI Bridge (AGP Implemented)' class = bridge subclass = HOST-PCI pcib1@pci0:1:0: class=0x060400 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71918086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82443BX/ZX 440BX/ZX AGPset PCI-to-PCI bridge' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI isab0@pci0:7:0: class=0x068000 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71108086 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4/4E/4M ISA Bridge' class = bridge atapci0@pci0:7:1: class=0x010180 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71118086 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4/4E/4M IDE Controller' class = mass storage subclass = ATA uhci0@pci0:7:2: class=0x0c0300 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71128086 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4/4E/4M USB Interface' class = serial bus subclass = USB none0@pci0:7:3: class=0x068000 card=0x00000000 chip=0x71138086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4/4E/4M Power Management Controller' class = bridge cbb0@pci0:10:0: class=0x060700 card=0x12251028 chip=0xac1e104c rev=0x00 hdr=0x02 vendor = 'Texas Instruments (TI)' device = 'PCI1211 PC Card CardBus Controller' class = bridge subclass = PCI-CardBus xl0@pci0:13:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00a51028 chip=0x920010b7 rev=0x78 hdr=0x00 vendor = '3COM Corp, Networking Division' device = '3C905C-TX Fast EtherLink for PC Management NIC' class = network subclass = ethernet none1@pci0:16:0: class=0x078000 card=0x25001668 chip=0x044811c1 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Lucent/Agere Systems (Was: AT&T MicroElectronics)' device = 'LT Winmodem 56k SV2P' class = simple comms none2@pci1:0:0: class=0x030000 card=0x00051028 chip=0x000510c8 rev=0x20 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Neomagic Corporation' device = 'NM2200 MagicMedia 256AV' class = display subclass = VGA none3@pci1:0:1: class=0x040100 card=0x00801028 chip=0x800510c8 rev=0x20 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Neomagic Corporation' device = 'NM2200 MagicMedia 256AV Audio Device' class = multimedia subclass = audio Jun 13 14:22:20 dell kernel: Copyright (c) 1992-2007 The FreeBSD Project.
